Panama Canal Situation Update #3
Dear Valued Customers,
With the ongoing severe drought conditions affecting the Panama Canal transit and the increased vessel backlog, ONE will divert the below vessels on the EC1 and EC2 services to transit through the Suez Canal or Cape of Good Hope to minimize these delays. The below chart contains details of the impacted vessels. Please find the previous advisory published by ONE on Nov 14th.
Please also be aware that this new routing will create some additional transit days, depending on port pairs. For import cargo, transit time may be extended by 5 to 12 days. For export cargo, transit time may be extended by 8 to 11 days.
