Panama Canal Situation Update #2
Dear Valued Customers,
As an update to ongoing vessel operations that are being affected by drought conditions in the Panama Canal Zone announced in the previous advisory published by ONE on Oct 24,
The Panama Canal Authority (PCA) has published their latest advisory that water levels in Gatun Lake continue to decrease to unprecedented levels. Due to the lack of improvement, the additional daily transit capacity reduction has been planned.
As of Nov 1, the total number of transits were reduced to 31 per day. Below is a breakdown of the current situation:
