Customer Advisory - Vehicle Policy Update - Auto Titles

Vehicle Policy Update - Auto Titles
USA Load Ports

Dear Valued Customers,

This advisory is to provide an update to ONE’s current Vehicle Policy regarding Auto Titles for USA Port of Load.  In order to simplify the customer process and streamline efficiency, ONE is updating its current Vehicle Policy regarding collection validated titles for used vehicles.

Effective April 1, 2023 our new policy will be to load used vehicles unless requested by the shipper/exporter or CBP to NOT load the vessel.  ONE will no longer require a copy of a stamped/validated title for any US load port.

As a reminder, the shipper/exporter and CBP are the parties in the transaction with the responsibility of regulatory requirements for vehicle shipments exporting out of US load ports.

How will this affect you?

  • ONE will no longer require a copy of validated titles for any US load port.
  • The shipper/exporter must ensure all regulatory requirements for exporting used vehicles are met.
  • The shipper/exporter must provide the ITN# or AES Exemption within the timeframe listed on the Booking Confirmation.
  • The shipper/exporter must provide true and accurate Shipping Instructions that include the VIN# of all vehicles loaded in the container(s).
  • The shipper/exporter must notify ONE of any vehicle(s) that has been placed on hold by CBP and is under order to NOT load the vessel.
  • If a vehicle is loaded to the vessel, and CBP orders the vehicle to be returned to the US, all costs will be for the account of the shipper/exporter.

We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing ONE!

Sincerely,

Ocean Network Express (North America) Inc.
