Port of Savannah Reefer ERD update
Port of Savannah Reefer ERD update
Dear Valued ONE Customers,
Effective September 1, 2026, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will begin publishing a separate Reefer Early Receiving Date (ERD) for all export operating refrigerated containers moving through the Port of Savannah. This update aligns terminal intake windows with our tariff-free time provisions to ensure smooth terminal flow and proper equipment monitoring.
As is: Both dry and reefer cargo share the same ERD window.
To be: Reefer ERD will be calculated as the later of the following two dates:
- 5 calendar days prior to the scheduled vessel cutoff date; OR
- The first available return date established by the marine terminal.
Key Action Items for Drayage & Logistics Partners
- Verify Line ERD Before Dispatch: Confirm Reefer ERD via the GPA website before dispatching drivers. https://gaports.com/vessel-schedule
- Coordinate Gate-In Dates: Ensure drivers gate-in containers strictly within the allowed free-time window (on or after the designated ERD) to avoid unexpected demurrage or terminal charges.
- Monitor Vessel Cutoffs: Terminal ERDs are linked to vessel schedules; please re-verify dates if vessel schedules change or are delayed.
Should you have any questions regarding how this policy impacts your upcoming shipments, please contact your local ONE representative.
Sincerely,
Ocean Network Express (North America) Inc
