ILWU Canada Labor Update #4

ILWU Canada Labor Update #4
ONE’s Temporary Service Rotation Change

Dear Valued Customers,

Please be advised that the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Canada (ILWU) and the BCMEA (British Columbia Maritime Employers Association) reached a tentative agreement, and the strike action has ended.

This strike action starting from July 1 has significantly impacted our vessel schedules, terminal operations, and inland transportation throughout British Columbia. Therefore, ONE and THE Alliance decided to have temporary service rotation for our PN service loops as below.

PN service loops rotation change plan:

  • Voyage        : Following 7 voyages
  • PN1 / PN2 : Tacoma call only (drop Vancouver / add Pusan (PN1) and Shanghai, Pusan (PN2)
  • PN3 / PN4 : Canada calls only  (drop Tacoma)

(Update) Status of Vessels at PNW as of 7/14 (subject to change without notice):

  • Prince Rupert: PRR (PN4 Fairview terminal)
  • Tacoma: TIW (PN1, PN4 WUT / PN2, PN3 Husky)
  • Vancouver: VAN (PN1, PN2, PN3 DELTA / PN4 Centerm)

We appreciate your understanding of this change. ONE will issue further advisories as changes occur. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing ONE!

Sincerely,
Ocean Network Express (North America) Inc.
