Notice of General Rate Increase for Trans-Pacific Westbound Trade Update #1
Dear Valued Customers,
Please find below updates to the upcoming November 15th TPWB GRI. (Link to original November 15th TPWB GRI advisory.)
GENERAL RATE INCREASE (GRI)(TPWB)(EFFECTIVE NOV 15, 2023)
Effective November 15, 2023, the following DRY cargo GRI shall apply
a) for all shipments moving under carrier "rail" or "rail/motor" service that is received in Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH; Denver, CO; Kansas City, KS; Kansas City, MO; Memphis, TN (excluding Cotton); Minneapolis, MN; Omaha, NE; Pittsburgh, PA; Pocatello, ID; and Salt Lake City, UT moving under a through rate:
Destinations: All ports and points within the locations defined in Rules 1.002 (TPWB)
Quantum: USD 160 per 20', USD 200 per 40'/40'HQ/45'
b) for all shipments received at or going via Portland, OR; moving under a through rate:
Destinations: All ports and points within the locations defined in Rules 1.002 (TPWB)
Quantum: USD 160 per 20', USD 200 per 40'/40'HQ/45'
Remarks:
-This GRI does not apply to tariff cargo NOS rates or tariff rates filed with an expiry date within 31 days of November 15, 2023.
-This GRI applies to all Rate Filings Agreements and Service Contract rates unless otherwise specifically exempted.
-Through rate is defined as a rate that extends over the entire transit from origin to destination. - This GRI does not apply to arbitrary plus base port to port rates.
