Chassis Usage Charge at Loading (CHL)

 

Dear Valued Customer,

Please be advised that effective May 3, 2022, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will update the Chassis Usage Charge (CHL) for exports of Crabs in refrigerated (Reefer) containers from Halifax (NS), Saint John’s (NL), and Argentia (NL) and loading in Halifax, Canada. This surcharge, set at $50 USD per box, will better serve the region’s seasonal crab business by covering chassis storage and leasing costs during the remainder of the year. It will apply to both Trans-Pacific and Trans-Atlantic trade scopes.
