Email Notification System Update - SendGrid
- Over the next several months Ocean Network Express will transition our automated email notification service from Mailgun to SendGrid. We are NOT changing the sending email address, only the service.
- If you experience any missing messages, please share this information with your email administration/Information Technology teams, who will know what is best for your organization. Whitelisting is NOT required in all cases.
- During this transition time, estimated as 9 months, messages will be sent from both Mailgun and SendGrid, therefore please do not remove any Mailgun accommodations until a completion notice is sent.
- To ensure receipt of these notifications and avoid blocking, each recipient organization should consider any needed changes within their email configuration, such as whitelisting our ONE-dedicated SendGrid email sending server (IP address 159.183.187.201) and/or similar. Again, during this transition we will be sending from both services as commented above.
- ONE will also add information similar to above to each of the actual emails sent by the notification system to help ensure awareness, starting two weeks before and running for one week after each message type is converted.
- When all transitions are complete ONE will provide a final notice, and at that time any Mailgun accommodations can be removed.
- If you have any questions about handling this change please contact your ONE account team, and if you do take any action please communicate that to your ONE account team for documentation of the change.
